![]() RICHARD HEADOpen until 5 July 2005Special Open
Sunday: 5th June 11am - 2pm His art training culminated in a DipAD course at Bristol Polytechnic (see cat. 7), where he won the David Murray Scholarship from the R.A. Schools (1973) for landscape painting. Prior to this, he did Foundation at West Surrey College of Art, after reading anthropology at Magdalene College, Cambridge. We were aware that he was educated at Eton but, being modest, he did not tell us of the art awards he had won there, including the Harmsworth, the Gunther and the School Drawing (1967) Prizes. We have exhibited Richard's work regularly for close on 20 years, including a one-man show in 1995, and are pleased to invite him to launch 'The First' Gallery's new venture on the Web. Once the Gallery exhibition finishes, this site will remain to view afterwards, but only showing those pictures still available for sale. |
